DC Wonder Woman St. Louis
Well folks, here we are again. Another COVID-19 blog post and update on another race. First, I want to start by saying that I was SO EXCITED for this one. I absolutely LOVE running in St. Louis and was looking forward to this series coming to St. Louis.
This race was set to be ran on June 14, 2020. They were quick to switch over to virtual on March 23rd, which was nice to not be up in question during these times. Definitely was a smart move and I know for me, I would not have felt comfortable doing a race in June, and I know everyone has different feelings.
I originally signed up for a 10K hoping to still be riding on the high of my half marathon that would have been at the end of April, but if you have been following me, COVID has really thrown me for a funk.
With all that being said, I did a 5K and DID NOT RACE. I am in no form for racing with my state of training, but wanted to support this race.
I was pleasantly surprised to already receive my swag pack too. Check it out!
The medal was unique because it spins! I’ve never owned a pair of goodr glasses and these were great quality. The material of the shirt was very breathable.
Like I said, I did an equivalent of a 5K, but had an easy workout during it where I picked it up in the 2nd mile. This was ran on the treadmill. I would love to think that I would try to do a 10k on June 14th, but I don’t want to make a promise 🙂
I haven’t ever participated in a DC Wonder Woman race, so I can’t quite prepare anyone for what to expect for future races, and honestly, I don’t think anyone can know what future races will look like. But what I can say is that I will definitely sign up again for next year if it is offered.
