This is the recap of Week 8 of Mo’ Cowbell Half Marathon training. If you want to see a week of not so great training, this is it. Not sure if it was the daily rain or just my overall blah feeling, but this week was a little of a wash and that is okay. I have to remind myself that prior to signing up for this half marathon, I said I would have fun with training and not put so much pressure on myself. This was going to be a fun time. I still will share anyway!

Workout that I quit early. I was really hoping to save this workout to do outside but it wouldn’t stop raining all week. So I attempted on the treadmill and just got tired of it and quit. Was supposed to be 1000m repeats. I made it through 1.5 before throwing in the towel.
2.55 miles @ 11:18 with 128 bpm avg
Sunday
Skipped my long run and we did a family walk instead.
1.46 miles walked
So as you can see…things didn’t go quite as planned, but I’m not worried. The time off made me excited to run again and hopefully recharged. I do think I have figured out that I need to just pick my own speed workouts from the ones I enjoy doing – or adapt them to me a little bit better because that’s where my anxiety stems. I see the workout and already think it’s way too much for what I can handle and push it off – let it consume my whole week.
Until next time! Halfway there!
