When I was first introduced to Athlinks, I signed up and automatically had about 40 race results to claim. It didn’t even take long to claim them. Right away, memories just flooded in. I’m someone who tries to update my blog with my past race results and since I haven’t done many races recently or blogged for that matter, I wasn’t sure where I had left off. That’s why Athlinks was great. Most my races were right there! Not every race was found, but I’ve ran a lot of small town races, too.
As I have already claimed my races, I’ll show you how you can search unclaimed ones. I typed in my name at the top and you can see there is a race that is unclaimed. It’s unclaimed, because that isn’t my race. So I never claimed it.
Let’s check out how my races look once claimed.
Here are my race results. As you can see, you can sort them by Year, Category, Distance and Event. You can also filter by event. So I decided to filter mine by my 1/2 marathon results.
This pulls up all my half marathons that I have run and how I did for each one. But don’t worry, it doesn’t stop there. Let’s see how my very first half marathon was on race day.
Yes, the weather is posted, your rankings are posted and your time/pace. How cool is that?
If you love statistics as much as I do and want #AlltheInfo, then you’ll love the statistics page.
This will hold all your personal records for you. This is pretty cool to me.
I have registered for two upcoming races and both registrations were through Athlinks. I’m going to go and add myself to the start lists.
So I searched for my race and then filtered by the run I was doing (5k,) and clicked on “Add Yourself.” This brought up this popup below, where I added my information.
Now anyone that follows me on Athlinks can see my upcoming races, but also, anyone that is running that race, can see the start line and who has added themselves.
If this sounds too good to be true, then it gets even better. Athlinks has an app for iOS and Android which is a comprehensive resource for athletes to connect with friends, compete with rivals, discover new challenges and races, and enjoy a connected, consistent race experience.
Hopefully you will hop over to Athlinks and if you want to follow me, click here for my profile.
