“Disclaimer: I received a pair of TurtleGloves Lightweight Prototype FLIPPERS to review as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a BibRave Pro (ambassador), and check out BibRave.com to review, find, and write race reviews!”
This is my first pair of Turtle Gloves. From visiting the website and seeing other BibRavePros in the past review other models, I can tell you that people love Turtle Gloves. What makes this version different? Lightweight. The material is a little different as it isn’t as heavy of a fabric.
These have polartec windbloc
Windproof & water repellant
Designed to keep your hands warm, even when wet
The sizing is a bit different for these than the previous models. Here is how they described the sizing:
If the width measurement in this photo is:
more than 3″ less than 3.25″ the Small should be fine.
Closer to 3.5″ Medium or long fingers.
Larges are truer to previous model sizing. The sizing issue really just applies to the smaller sizes.
Like I said, this was my first time with this brand and I LOVED these! I ran in temperatures of 18 degrees and my hands were warm. They even started to sweat a little bit, so I was able to flip them open and pop my fingers out.
They definitely helped wipe the sweat from my face (yes, I still sweat in 18 degrees.) The best part was that they got wet, but my hands didn’t feel wet or cold. I only knew they were wet when I took them off after my run.

That video was right after my 5k through Forest Park in STL. These were perfect for my run/walk! I definitely was excited to have them just in time. You can see how you can convert them!
You don’t just have to use them for running, either. They came in handy for walking Graham and just being outside in general.
I loved these TurtleGloves, but I know there were some other opinions out there too and more than just my own, so I will link those below!
