I absolutely love this race because of the swag. At first, the price of the races may be intimidating, but you get SO MUCH in your experience. The swag alone makes it worthwhile for me, even when I was paying with my own money.
They also have the swag convenient for you. Not sure your size? No worries, you can exchange and try on the sizes at the expo.

Every year I have experienced smooth packet pick up. I can’t vouch for the other cities, but I am always impressed by how many volunteers are there to assist. For the STL expo it is at Union Station and you can try to find street parking, or park in their lots which were $1 every 20 minutes. We barely hit over 20 and paid $2.
At the STL race they offered shuttle transportation for race day. I had purchased this but didn’t end up using it. I didn’t realize I still had to pay for the Union Station rate to park to hop on the shuttle from there. I’m not savvy enough to find a street spot. Since I knew I would be a lot longer, I thought I would try and get to the race early on the day of and find parking there.
As if great swag isn’t enough, how about treats and chocolate? Check out the treats they have at the expo and then check my post race recap of the treats after!
I especially appreciate the allergen friendly lists. I don’t have any intolerances or sensitivities, but I know as a dietitian that a lot of people may find this useful.
There are so many great things about these races. A lot of effort goes into the planning and execution. I won’t spoil too much, so stay tuned for my recap post!
