Mom
First off, today is mama’s birthday! Happy Birthday Mom! So of course she takes the theme of today’s post. I thought I would choose categories mom likes and then pick my favorites from that.
Planners
Mom and I LOVE planners, stationary, and anything office related, really. We enjoy going to TJ Maxx and Marshall’s and checking the stationary aisle of the notebooks and office supplies. No matter how many notebooks we collect, if we pass some that are under $3, then the chances of us going home with one are pretty solid. I thought I would share with you all my favorite planner. I have spread my love for this planner and my two favorite nutrition gals went and got one as well. My favorite planner’s are the Create 365/The Happy Planner. These can be found at Michaels, Hobby Lobby and Joann’s here in town. But I love Michael’s because they mostly always have a 40% off deal on this line. They have different editions from teacher, student, home, fitness and general planners. You can get inserts for budgets, fitness, recipes etc as well. I love their sticker books and lined paper as well. Here’s some items I enjoy!
The great thing about these planners is that the pages pop out and can snap back in. Or if you get the paper hole punch, you can add anything into your planner, which is awesome! I used to use the Arc system from Staples, but there wasn’t enough variety in options, so I switched over when this brand started doing the same system.
Wall Fragrances
We love the wall fragrances from Bath and Body Works. Especially when they have their semi-annual sales and you can stock up for cheap. Yesterday they had them for $3 a piece, but now they are 5 for $23 or the two packs for 3 for $27, all the same. Here are some of my go-to’s that I keep on hand.
I love the fresh linen scent for the bedroom, the kitchen lemon scent for the kitchen and then this farmstand apple scent is good anywhere. Right now it’s in the kitchen because I wanted a switch up. Click on the pictures for links.
Coffee
Mom has a Keurig that she will make coffee with, as do I. We also both have Ninja Coffee Bars. I still however use my Keurig mostly because I only ever make one cup and the convenience-y of the pods is nice. Yes, I have heard all about them being bad for the environment, my apologies. My favorite kcups are Dunkin Donuts, Caribou Coffee and Starbucks. I also recently got those single serve packets from Cafe Bustelo that I add to protein shakes. You can get them at Target for 0.99.
I shared my mocha protein shake recipe on the blog over here. But how I make my morning coffee is simple. I start my keurig, add one packet of hot cocoa powder and let the coffee drip over the powder. When it’s done, I stir it up then add milk. That’s it folks. I’m pretty simple.
