Why Senita Athletics?
We know there are TONS of athletic apparel brands out there. I’m pretty much about 95% exclusively Senita for my every day clothing and for running. The product that introduced me to Senita was their Sarah Sports bra in the Bahamas print. I saw a runner wearing it and thought it was so cute. This was not my first purchase though, because I was ballin’ on a budget at the time and wasn’t quite sure I wanted to pay full price and shipping. We all know how that can be! So I actually bought some secondhand items to try out the brand.
I fell in love with the brand because it was woman owned, by two sisters. They had a brother who had Type I diabetes and so the thought for pockets and accessibility was at the forefront of designs. This allowed for individuals to store their insulin pumps. The company was then bought by Liz and Andrew who are so sweet and have shared their life and growing family with us Sisters! It’s been fun to watch and also be a part of. I say be a part of, because Senita cares about their community and Sisters. They are always asking input and listening to what is requested and try to work that into the designs.
Senita was there for me to wear for lounging and running pre pregnancy, during pregnancy and also postpartum. I literally lived in maternity Senita during my pregnancy. I love a brand that can be supportive for all walks of life and all the milestones.

How to Save Money on Purchases
Senita Rewards – I joined the reward program and started making purchases during their sales where I tried a bunch of different items to start finding my favorites. The rewards quickly add up to allow you to be able to purchase at cheaper prices, which makes it SO AFFORDABLE!
Secondhand websites, Senita Athletics BST facebook group, or Senita Athletics Treet – I was still cautious of my spending and would wait for sales, but I realized I was missing out on a lot of products because they did not restock certain launches. So if a product I liked sold out before a sale came, I was out of luck and had to go searching on the second hand sites or the BST Facebook page hoping someone was willing to sell.
End of the Year Gift Card Sale 15% off – I forget the exact year, but I told myself I was going to budget and buy on launch day whatever products I wanted. Ever since, I stock up on gift cards during the end of the year gift card sale where you can get them for 15% off. I would buy enough to cover the next year’s worth of spending, because #girlmath that is already saving money!
Sales and Discount Codes – Join the mailing list and subscribe to texts. I love random texts here and there that give exclusive discount codes or notifications of early shopping. Throughout the year Senita does sales. I wouldn’t say these are often, but they happen around holidays (black friday/cyber monday.) You can always check the Making Room page on their website to see any products that have been marked down! Grab Bags – These are so fun, especially for new Senita Sisters who don’t have a lot of products yet. Grab bags happen occasionally where you pay a really low price and get like 5 different items. You can choose specifics like grab bag tops or grab bag bottoms. I loved doing this for the surprise aspect and also to introduce myself to other styles I may not have purchased or maybe didn’t want to spend the price purchasing because it may not have been something I typically would have gone for. I have found so many items that I have fallen in love with because of the grab bags!
My Favorites and Must-Have Senita Athletic Products
Bottoms
5 inch Lux Baselines – These have been my ride or die after discovering them. They are second to a new favorite, but I’ll get to those next. First, lux is a sweat wicking, cool fabric. It is great for working out and especially running. I feel they hold me in and they do not ride up. They have a seamed waistband. I love the 5 inch length, but they are also starting to introduce a 3.75 and 7 inch. The baselines are unique in that they have side pockets, but then they have pockets under those that can be accessed bottom up. This allows for the storage of tennis balls, racquetballs, pickleballs, golf balls etc. There is also a front pocket in the waistband. You should also check out the Baseline Skorts! Super flattering and I get away with them when I go into the office and still get to wear my favorite baseline shorts!
5 inch Lux Rios – When I first started discovering Senita, the rios were a hit. I loved the 3.75 length when I had smaller/thinner legs. But then my body changed and I liked a little longer of a length. When Senita introduced new lengths for the rios in the 5 inch, it was GAME OVER. I will buy these forever. Why? I LOVE SEAMLESS WAISTBANDS! These still have side pockets, but don’t have the pockets underneath for the tennis balls etc, nor do they have a waistband pocket. These also come in 7 inch length.
Lux Pace Leggings – Lux, seamless waistband, need I say more? These are pretty compressive and great for running. These are my go-to running leggings when the temps get cooler. They also have the side pockets.
Studio Skin Joggers – Also known as “skoggers,” these are incredible! Some like to size down for a super fitted look, or you can size up for more looser. I believe they are true to size and fit comfortable with a nice fitted look. If you sized down, they would look more like jogger leggings. These are in the skin fabric and have a flat waistband that is a hybrid, so the front is seamless, which I love and then the back has a seam.
Dynamic Biker Short – A newer style but a favorite for lounging! The dynamic material is skin, so that buttery soft jersey kind of feel. They are heathered and have the space dye effect. These are perfect for lounging because they are stretchy and don’t leave you feeling like you are so compressed and uncomfortable. They have NO FRONT SEAM!! Also seamless waistband and two side pockets.
Skin Shakti – Perfect for lounging because of the skin fabric and seamless waistband. I’m not a huge lounge in leggings kind of gal, but I wanted to put these on here for those that would be looking for something like that.
Classic Sweatpants – If I’m lounging and it’s cold, I would be in the classic sweatpants or the studio skin joggers. I didn’t know the hype around the classic crew and sweatpants until I received one in a mystery bag and YES they were worth the money to me. Thick with super fuzzy insides and really high quality.
Weekend joggers – I have a bunch of these because I got them second hand before I realized the hype around the “skoggers” or Studio Skin Joggers. These are still great, but if you haven’t caught on, I love a seamless waistband or a more comfortable waistband. This waistband is more scrunched instead of laying flat. These are so buttery soft jersey feeling which is what I loved about them and also based on how you get them size wise, you can have a looser fit or more fitted.
Tops
Lux Sarah Sports Bras – Hands down my favorite sports bra. Mainly because this is their most popular and so they come out with the most designs in the Sarah. It’s a great sports bra with a pocket on the back with that amazing lux fabric that’s perfect for sweat and keeping cool. It has removable cups, which I rip them out first thing when I get them as I cut the tags off! Slick feel, racerback style and I love the little cut out between the pocket and the support strap for extra breathability.
Okay, these aren’t as popular with releases, but I also LOVE these bras too!
Flight Bra – for my high neck lovers! This is my begggggg for Senita to launch a few more colors. They may have even retired this one, because it’s not on the website. BUT BRING IT BACK!! Super supportive and flattering cut. I love this also for summer running because of the extra coverage on my chest. I can’t see the posting anymore, but I believe it is also Lux fabric and has a back pocket.
Knotty Tank – This tank has been retired and I was late to the hype. I was able to try this one in the warehouse sale and then immediately went to find someone selling more. I sized up to a medium in this but it was a cute tank that hit right at your waist (reason I didn’t go for it at first, #teambootycoverage,) but it has a cute little knot detail in the back. Super breathable and light with the fabric that has holes.
Classic Crew – LOVE this! Definitely an investment piece because of the price and at first I was like “I can get sweatshirts cheaper,” but not like this!! Heavy and thick material that is super fuzzy on the inside but the side details are kind of ribbed to match the band at the bottom. Definitely a must have piece!! Definitely runs more oversized but I stick to my normal size. If you wanted more fitted, size down. Also, check out the Classic Hoodie, if you prefer that style!
Extra Mile Tanks – These are my favorite tanks because of their length and coverage. Super cool fabric that is breathable. Your typical racerback style tank.
No Problem Tee – Me also begging Senita for more colors! This tee is an oversized heavier style that is just a nice thick material. Better quality than your every day t-shirt. You cannot go wrong with this tee and some baselines or rios! Love that look and live in it. Runs oversized, I actually size down and still get an oversized look. I get XS, although I do have a S and it’s not terrible, just looser in the neck mainly.
Tempo Long Sleeve – Breathable seamless fabric with thumbholes. If you also haven’t caught on, I don’t love tight fitted things. I actually size up to size large in this style. It gives me the looser feel and doesn’t make the shoulders look too boxy. I get heat rash and have sensitive skin, so I just prefer to not have fabric rubbing against my skin or tightly on me. The newer ones definitely feel like straight butter on your body!
My collection of tops will probably start to grow and I may start to expand. A lot of tops come in the trendy crop style or are fitted and as you have read, I don’t love that. But I may start to experiment with different sizes and styles because I loved the knotty tank and missed out on that one when it was popular!
