New Garmin and Official Half Marathon Photos

Guess what just came in?! My brand new Garmin Forerunner 405 arrived and I am so excited! This is my third Garmin device that I have owned and trained with.

I’ve named her Lola…my dad will probably call it Lula though hahaha. Too funny. I’m so excited to start wearing it and playing around with all the fun features. It’s always a fun time to upgrade, especially with running gear.

Oh and my half marathon pictures are up.

What a fun time!! I can definitely say this won’t be my last half marathon. I had so much fun and enjoyed the distance and the atmosphere! What a great first time race experience!

Race Recap: Go! St. Louis Half Marathon

Go St Louis Half Marathon!

This was my first ever half marathon! I ran the Go! St. Louis Half Marathon. I had been doing half marathon training and the day was finally here.

So I decided not to race this but just run comfortably. I set a goal of 1 hour 45 minutes. I actually set it thinking I was going to race and thought it was a pretty high goal and that it would be hard for me to do.

….let’s just say I hit the goal and I didn’t even race it!!!!

This course was EXTREMELY hilly. I train on hills everyday but not one’s that last a mile long. The last two miles my body just died on me. It was tired haha and didn’t want to do work anymore.

I wonder what I would’ve ran if I actually raced.

I must say, my leg muscles looked pretty good in those first few pictures 🙂 I can’t wait to see what the official pictures look like. Hopefully they took some of me actually running.
