Your Twelve Faces
I discovered Your Twelve Faces on Instagram. Here are some of the designs I enjoy! I LOVED the concept of these designs, plus I’m a fan of icons such as these. I was provided a shirt of my choice and I picked the food in the color of heather blue which reminds me more of a purple and I like that a lot.
They offer unisex shirts, women’s fit shirts, phone cases, pool towels, posters, and bags. These are more than just designs though, watch the video to find out the why behind this company.
So this is more than just a cool t-shirt. It’s a company working to build communities and connections. I think that’s awesome!! You should definitely check them out!
Instacart
I’ve been dabbling in self-employment opportunities because I knew I needed time to relax from my last job, however I’m still someone that needs a purpose. So I picked this blog back up, do some nutrition consulting, and then signed up to be an Instacart Shopper. They just brought this to Columbia, so I had the opportunity to start once they launched. So far they are in Schnucks and Petco. I LOVE this. At first I was a bit nervous about it, but it seriously feels like I’m on a grocery shopping game show. I receive the order from the customer, accept it and then start finding the items on their list, checkout and deliver. I’m provided with pictures and all the details I would need to make sure I pick the correct item. Then I use my phone to scan each item to double check I am accurate with my pick. Currently Columbia’s rates are anywhere between 8.75 and 9.25 +0.40 per item for batches. You can also get bonuses if it’s a large order or a far delivery, so it makes up for your time/effort in that area. Then the customer can tip you.
It’s still gaining popularity as I have only done two orders so far, but right now you get an hourly guarantee, so even if you aren’t working on batches, you still make money while on the clock. I get the comfort of my apartment until a batch is ready and then I’m just a 3 minute drive to Schnucks. Why I love this?! One of my deliveries was to a mom with little girls and I can completely understand how grocery shopping could be hard when you have kids. This way made sure she bought what she ordered, as I know when I went with mom, mystery items always ended up in the cart at checkout! ha! But also, mom doesn’t have the hassle of purchasing, carrying, watching the kids, trying to remember the list and the impatience of the family. What’s better than groceries delivered right to you?! But this also benefits people who may not be able to leave the house, whether that’s time constraints, health issues, taking care of the family or the pets, or just not wanting to interrupt your netflix binge.
If you want to order from Instacart, go here. If you want to become a shopper, you can use my referral code here (I receive $100 after you work 40 hours.)
Pegboards & Fast Track
I never used Pegboards until I needed storage for my coffee mug collection. I wanted to be able to display them all to be seen. My dad helped me by getting a pegboard and getting some hangers. I did lose two mugs to falling from the pegboard onto the ground, but that was because I didn’t have the most reliable hooks. So I went back to Home Depot and purchased better and more reliable hooks and also made sure my pegboard had support for the weight by drilling a wood strip behind. This also helped provide room between the board and the wall so my hooks would be more snug.
After reading the DIY magazine and seeing pegboards for above desks/in garages for storage, I just knew I should try and do that for my next office DIY. I won’t be working on that though until I have the funding and maybe our next living location. Check out these ways at Brit.Co to utilize pegboards though!
Then in a later month’s magazine, I saw Rubbermaid Fast Tracks and thought this was an awesome idea too! Check out the DIY over at Old Brand New blog.
So get creative and you can make your own cool spaces for pretty inexpensive!!
